The World is Coming Together

Starting this month, the eyes of the world will be focused on humans giving it their all for their countries, while displaying amazing feats of strength, of endurance, of gravity (and logic) defying achievement — in short, performing at their best. This is the perfect time, then, to get your Firefox performing at its best as well.

Here's what you'll find in this issue of Firefox & You: Keep reading for the complete stories and more!

Check Plugins for Speed and Safety

Plugins are programs built by other companies that power things like videos and games on the Web. When working properly, they keep Firefox running smoothly and you don't even know that they're there (almost like magic). But when out of date, they can slow things down and make you vulnerable to online attacks (almost like… whatever the opposite of magic is).

Find out how to check your plugins and make sure your Firefox is as fast and safe as possible.

Take Back Your Speed

If you've been using Firefox for a while, first of all, thanks! You're awesome! Second of all, things can start happening in the background that can slow your browser down. It's not dangerous or even necessarily wrong, but you might notice that Firefox is a little more sluggish than it used to be.

To help you out, we created the Reset Firefox feature. It lets you keep all your important information, while restoring the browser to the way it was when you first started using it — more or less.

Learn how to reset your browser and get Firefox back up to full speed.

Whether you're a bookmark novice or you're ready to get a sponsor and turn pro, here are some tips and tricks that can take your bookmarking to the next level.
