EPA finalizes first ever rule to promote transparency in developing regulatory guidance documents

 

WASHINGTON (September 14, 2020) — Today, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler and Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen will announce a proposed settlement with German automaker Daimler AG and its American subsidiary Mercedes-Benz USA LLC resolving alleged violations of the Clean Air Act and California law associated with emissions cheating. Following the press conference, reporters may be on a separate phone line for a Q&A with EPA Assistant Administrator for Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Susan Bodine and Assistant Attorney General Jeff Clark.
