EPA will engage with the Environmental Finance Advisory Board (EFAB) at its upcoming October 18-19 meeting for input on several agency priorities and developments. EFAB is a Federal Advisory Committee that provides advice and recommendations to EPA's Administrator and regional and program offices on ways to lower the costs of, and increase investments in, environmental and public health protection. It is comprised of state and local government officials; finance community and other business industry representatives; selected federal employees; and members of environmental, tribes and non-governmental organizations. The meeting will include discussions on several important agency priorities, including the newly established Office of Environmental Justice and External Civil Rights, design of the Inflation Reduction Act's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, opportunity zones, pollution prevention, proposed water charges, and an update from the EPA's Office of the Chief Financial Officer.
