America’s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2025Read the Newly Released Report from the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics America’s Children: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2025 brings together high-quality data on the well-being of the nation’s children and youth in a way that is accessible to the public and policymakers. Produced by the Federal Interagency Forum on Child and Family Statistics, the report highlights how federal agencies collaborate to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and accessibility of government information. This year’s report presents 30 key indicators on important aspects of children’s lives, drawn from reliable federal statistics and organized across seven domains:
- Family and social environment
- Economic circumstances
- Health care
- Physical environment and safety
- Behavior
- Education
- Health
These indicators are designed to be easy to understand, objectively based on substantial research, measured over time to show trends, and representative of large segments of the population. As in prior years, the report also highlights critical data gaps identified by the Forum and its federal statistical agencies. EPA’s America’s Children and the Environment (ACE) provided data for the asthma, air quality, drinking water, cotinine and blood lead levels indicators.
